What is self storage and how does it work?

Renting a storage unit is a great solution to clear up some much-needed space at home or to hold much needed business items. All of our storage facilities offer clean, secure storage solutions at affordable prices.

What is vehicle storage and how does it work?

Renting vehicle storage is a fantastic way to get your favorite vehicle out of the driveway and into a secure space. Vehicle storage keeps your vehicle nearby, but out of the way!

How much does self storage cost?

Are there any items that I am NOT able to store?

Liquids, explosives, flammable liquids, toxic materials, and perishables. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding a specific item.

What types of vehicles can I store?

Most often, people store RVs, boats and trailers, or antique/collectible automobiles. Not every vehicle will fit in every storage space! If you're not sure, contact us and we'll help you find the right spot.

What is the best way to pack a unit?

Larger and more infrequently used items should go in the back of the unit. Remember to keep a walkway in the center of your unit to more easily access items. Always keep items labeled and a list of items stored, even a photo on the outside of each box will allow you to "see" what's inside.

What should I do before storing a vehicle?

Be sure to remove anything that might spoil or rot before you store your vehicle. Empty the fridge or bait well and turn off any electronics. Some renters prefer to clean their vehicle before storage so it's pristine and ready when they need it next.

Can I live in my vehicle?

While we're happy to have you store your vehicle with us, we cannot allow anyone to live on the property. Living in your vehicle is against the terms of our rental agreement and can result in legal action.

Do you offer short-term leases?

Yes! All leases operate month-to-month, requiring a minimum commitment of one full month. If your lease begins in the middle of the month, your move-in costs will be prorated for the remaining days, with your first complete month commencing on the 1st of the following month. Looking for storage for a month or more? Your lease automatically renews on the 1st of each month.

What’s the best way to reserve a space?

Reservations can be made on our website 24 hours a day or by calling us directly. 

Do you require a deposit?

No. However, under certain circumstances, a deposit may be required.

Do you offer boat and RV storage?

 Yes, Store More 365 has enclosed, covered, and open parking large enough to fit a Class A motorhome up to 50’.

Is there enough space to maneuver a large boat or RV at your facility?

Yes! We are proud of our wide drive aisles, allowing space to freely move and park your equipment. 

What types of storage does Store More 365 offer?

Store More 365 has the following types of storage:

  • Enclosed, which are drive-up and fully enclosed units
  • Covered, which is under a roof or canopy
  • Open parking, which is not covered and open to the elements.
Do I need to supply my own lock?

No, each unit is equipped with a heavy-duty combination lock that is offered free of charge during your rental period with us. 

Can I park a vehicle or vessel in an enclosed space?

Yes! We require proof of insurance and proof of ownership. We also require that your vehicle have less than ¼ quarter tank of fuel. We kindly request that you protect the concrete floor from leaks caused by fluids such as motor oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, windshield washer fluid, and other similar substances. To do this, please place cardboard or another protective material underneath the vehicle.

What is "covered" parking?

Covered parking refers to a paved area with a canopy for parking. The canopy is a more economical choice than an enclosed space, and helps protect your vehicle or vessel from rain, snow, and sun.

There are buildings marked #1, #3, and #4. Where’s building #2?

Building 2 will be added in phase 2 of construction and is currently used as Open Parking.

What is CE and CW?

CE = Canopy East, is the canopy on the east side of the property, parallel to Brown Street, closer to the Lakewood Forest Preserve side of the property. CW = Canopy West, which is parallel to Rt. 12, is further away from the Lakewood Forest Preserve on the west side of CE.

Can I leave my car in my space if I take my boat or camper out?

Yes, just send us over the registration and insurance for the vehicle you are leaving in its place. 

Do I need Insurance?

 Yes. Per the Rental Agreement, all tenants must have insurance that protects their stored belongings. It should be noted that it is not safe to assume that your Homeowners or Renter's insurance extends coverage to your items in storage, so it's advisable to consult your insurance agent to confirm if your policy includes this or if it can be added. If you lack insurance or cannot provide proof of coverage, we require you to enroll in our Tenant Protection Policy, which is highly recommended even if you already have Homeowners or Renter's insurance for several reasons:

  • No deductible
  • No increased policy rates due to claims
  • Quick claim handling and payouts
  • No long-term commitments
  • Affordable monthly rates. 
  • Coverage options include: $2,000/$3,000/$5,000 in coverage for $9/$12/$15.
  • Satisfies the insurance requirement of your Rental Agreement
Do you have any climate-controlled units?

Not currently. We will most likely add climate-controlled spaces in phase 2 of construction, TBD.

Where’s the office located?

We operate without an on-site office, as this facility is managed remotely. For any assistance, feel free to call, text, or email us. If you require help on-site, please let us know.

Are access hours and office hours different?

Yes, access hours are available daily from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, including holidays. Our office hours run from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Saturday. While we do not specifically advertise office hours on Sundays, you can often reach us by calling or texting.

What documents do I need to reserve a Storage Unit?

To rent a space, a valid driver’s license or state ID is required. For vehicle or vessel storage, in addition to your valid driver’s license, please provide the registration or title and proof of insurance before moving into your spac

Are there items I cannot store?

Yes. For everyone's safety, there are items that cannot be stored in your unit. Please refer to the Rental Agreement for a complete list. Here’s a list of some prohibited items:

  • Tires
  • Food items and other perishables (pet food, formula, canned goods, etc.)
  • Drugs (prescription, recreational, or illicit)
  • Flammable materials (fireworks, guns, ammo, gas, fuel, racing fluid, etc.)
  • Hazardous or caustic materials (V.O.C.s, volatile organic compounds, bleach, alcohol, gas, fuel, ammonia, formaldehyde, fertilizers, paints, solvents, and other chemicals)
  • Unregistered vehicles or vessels
  • Animals, people, or any living thing!
  • Odor pollutants (perfumes, essential oils, incense, potpourri) 
  • Anything Illegal
How can I pay my rent each month?

While autopay is highly encouraged, it is not mandatory. Enrolling in autopay helps to avoid late payment calls, late fees, and the associated frustrations. If you prefer not to use autopay, you can still make payments through our customer portal on our website, send a check, or call us to process your payment over the phone. Please note that we do not accept cash.

How do I Vacate My Space?

Vacating is as simple as moving out of the space on or before the last day of the month. When you are ready to vacate, make sure your unit is empty and broom-swept. Take a photo (make sure the unit number is visible) and email it to: VACATE@STOREMORE365.COM. For Enclosed units: Don't forget to drop the lock in the Designated Box at the exit. 

Can I park any type of vehicle or vessel outside or under the canopy?

All parked vehicles or vessels must have valid registration and insurance and must be in good working condition. No flat tires or broken parts. You can store kayaks, SUPs, and other floatable items if they are on a trailer. 

Can I work on my car, RV, or Boat while at the facility?

We are a storage facility – period. We are not a workspace, a body shop, or a repair shop. Occasionally, a vehicle stored at the facility may require a temporary mobile mechanic or a tire change to get it back on the road; we understand this can happen occasionally. 

Can I use your address as my business address?

 No, your space is meant for storage only. It is not a workspace or a place of business for you.

Do I need to supply my own lock?

No. Every unit has a lock on it. We offer the lock to use free of charge while you rent with us. You will receive the combination to the lock on your move-in day via text and email. 

Is my stuff safe with you?

Yes!

If I am not sure what type or what size of storage I will need, can I schedule a tour of your facility?

Absolutely! In fact, we encourage all prospective tenants to come and tour Store More 365 before you rent. We are very proud of our brand new, state-of-the-art facility, and we are confident you will be very impressed.

Do you offer 24-hour access to the facility?

Yes. Normal access is 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. If you require longer access hours, we can provide you with 24-hour access for a minimal charge. 

How tall are the doors on enclosed units?
